New Adventures With Our Travel Trailer!
This was not planned. We were not going to be part of the RV’ing world. It just happened. We bought a Travel Trailer!
My husband and I had different plans on that Saturday but then said he wanted to stop by a store. Little did I know that the store was going to be a place that sold all kinds of RV’s.
We looked inside every unlocked RV on the lot. You name it, it was there. Before we left, we had signed a purchase agreement for a travel trailer. I haven’t been this excited about anything in a really long time.
Our Travel Trailer is a Clipper Ultra-Lite 26CBH Travel Trailer. It has so much room. Well, it has enough room for us. It has a short queen size bed, two full-size bunk beds, and a couch that can be a bed. Of course, the dinette area can also become a bed.
I have stayed home for so long not being able to take some of my family with me, this is a dream come true.
When you have children with autism it isn’t always so easy to go on a vacation. In our household, this takes careful planning. This can sometimes make it more stressful to go on a vacation than to just stay home. My youngest used to wander off and I spent many a sleepless nights in hotel rooms wide awake to make sure he didn’t escape.
An RV gives everyone the sense of home. You have a familiar bed and all of your own things are there for you and that makes life a whole lot better.
The boys are excited. I am ready. Our first adventure will be close to home. Just in case something happens….you just never know.
I am so excited to start sharing what we learn and our adventures with you. This is a new chapter in our lives and I feel like we can really start living.
Stay tuned for the next chapter!
Until next time,
Kari
